Kerala Kanyakumari Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Kochi - Munnar
Arrive at Kochi Airport by 12 noon. On arrival, our representative will warmly welcome you and seamlessly drive you to Munnar. Munnar is a paradise situated at the confluence of three mountain streams and perched 1600 m above sea level. On the way, stop at Cheeyappara & Valara waterfalls. Later, reach Munnar, checkin to a hotel and relax.
Day 2: Munnar Sightseeing
Post breakfast, explore the beautiful hill-station of Munnar. Visit Flower Gardens, Photo Point, Pothamed Viewpoint, Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, and Ervikulum National Park
Day 3: Munnar - Thekkady
Go through the scenic route to reach Thekkady. Thekkady is famous for its wildlife, tea, coffee and all spices plantations. It has unending plantation gardens and one can literally smell the aroma of spices in the air. A visit to India's best wildlife sanctuaries will give you an experience that you won't forget. Make sure you take boat safari along the Periyar River for that mind-blowing experience.
Later, in the evening, go for Kalaripayatu and Kathakali shows. Learn about the traditions of Kerala through these shows. Drive to hotel for overnight stay.
Day 4: Thekkady - Alleppey
Drive to Alleppey (now called Alappuzha). This region is popular for the backwaters. Popular mode of stay is in a moving houseboat. The houseboat travels through the lanes of backwaters providing and amazing experience. Alternatively, you can stay at a hotel, and take a boat ride through these canals. While sailing down a maze of canals you sees different scenes from the inland water village life, paddy fields, coconut palms, fisherman and local life.
Day 5: Alleppey - Kovalam
Drive from Alleppey towards Kovalam. On the way, visit the popular Jatayu Earth Center. Later, drive towards Varkala to explore the famous Cliff Beach of Kerala, Varkala. Enjoy a beautiful sunset from your favourite cafe and watch the sun disappear in the vast ocean.
Later, it is time to drive to Kovalam for overnight stay.
Day 6: Kanyakumari Day Tour
Today, you will cross the state border of Kerala to visit Kanyakumari. Take a quick half day tour of Kanyakumari - vist Vivekananda Island, Triveni Sangam, Gandhi Mantap.
Later visit Padmanabhapuram Palace which gives an introduction to the heritage of Kerala. In the evening, visit Azhimala Temple by the sea side. If time permits, we will also spend some time at Poovar
After a long day, it is time to get back to hotel at Kovalam.
Day 7: Kovalam - Thirvananthapuram
Today is the last day of the tour. In the morning, we will checkout and visit Sri Anantha Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Thiruvananthapuram. Later, depending on your return flight/train time, we will drop you to airport / railway station.

A/C will be turned off in the vehicle while in the hilly regions
Houseboats have A/C from 9 PM to 6 AM. Premium houseboats have all time A/C but come at an additional cost

On day 1, if you arrive early (before 10 AM) to Kochi/Ernakulum, you can also visit Athirapally Waterfalls for an extra charge
On the last day (day 7), you can book your return flight/train in the evening. That way, you get to visit some extra places nearby.
