Day wise Itinerary of Chikmagalur Tour

Day 1: Bangalore - Chikmagalur

Arrive at Bangalore airport or railway station by 9 AM. Drive towards Chikmagalur. On the way, visit Belur Chennakeshawava Temple and Halebid Temple. These temples are built during the Hoysala reign and the temples show excellent carving skills from those days. In the evening, reach Chikmagalur. Spend the evening at Hirekolala Lake and witness an amazing sunset. Later, checkin to a hotel or homestay and relax.

Day 2: Hebbe Falls & Kemmangundi Excursion

Drive towards Kemmangundi which takes about an hour. On the way, visit Kalathigiri Falls. This falls is an absolute delight during monsoon, especially when the water flows next to temple nearby.

Later, you take a shared jeep to visit Hebbe Falls, yet another falls which will be at its best during monsoon. After that, visit Kemmangundi. Go for a small trek of 2 km to Z-Point which passes through Shanti Falls. If you are trekking here during monsoon, beware of leeches!

After an exciting day, drive back to hotel / homestay at Chikmagalur.

Day 3: Mullayangiri, Baba Budangiri and Bangalore Drop

Wake up early morning to visit Mullayangiri, the highest peak of Karnataka. Witness a beautiful sunrise, and watch the amazing views of the nearby forest. If you are lucky, and its cloudy, you get a feel of walking on the clouds!

Later, visit Baba Budangiri Hills, Manikyadhara and Jhari Falls (shared vehicle needed). After an exciting tour to Chikmagalur, it is time to head back to Bangalore. You will be dropped to Bangalore by late evening.
